October 2, 2008

It’s true that there are many great deals out there today on a whole range of laptops from brand name companies. But before you go and call everyone you know to tell them how great and cheap your new notebook is you’re going to want to consider a few things.

The main thing to try and make sure of is that you have a good name brand processor. If you get anything from Intel you’ll be pretty safe since they are one of the best known processor companies out there.

Stick with processors from Intel like Pentium, and Dual Core and you’ll be doing pretty good. Also make sure that your machine has at least 512MB’s of RAM although many people like to have at least 1GB – myself included.

Buying Refurbished Laptops

June 24, 2008

Ever heard of refurbished laptops? Well they can actually be a pretty good deal if you find the right company to buy from and you choose yourself a good brand of computer. Going the refurbished route can ensure you find the cheapest notebooks around at a fraction of their original price.

Just because they are refurbished doesn’t mean that there is some major problems with them. They may have had a slight defect or some exterior damage when they were originally produced and therefore they were sent back to the manufacture.

The manufacture like Dell or Sony will then fix it up like new again and then sell these cheap refurbished laptops. If you’re looking for a very cheap laptop you might want to consider going with a refurbished one.

Using Internet Auction Websites

April 4, 2008

One of the best places in the world right now to find a cheap laptop for sale is on the Internet’s popular auction websites like EBay. Might sound strange but it’s true and many people have found themselves amazing deals through using EBay.

Just remember that although it is easy to find yourself a good deal on a cheap laptop computer you will want to make sure the seller you are buying from has a good reputation.

It’s easy to look into the seller because you can check their EBay history and see what other users have said. If you find a good deal on a laptop and the seller has great customer feedback in terms of service, shipping, warranties, etc then you’re pretty much good to go and you may have just found yourself one of the cheapest notebooks around!
